In addition to performing in Chicago as Socialite Fiasco, Monica Driscoll and Brett Ratner collectively sing on commercial jingles, play sessions, and write/record songs for a handful of successful music libraries. Several of their tunes are slated for TV and movie placements in the spring of 2006. Monica previously has toured the country with her former band, while Brett has been a contributing writer to several national music publications.

Socialite Fiasco Bio

In a place where people know more about Paris Hilton than Paris, France… in a time when J-Lo's Grammy dress constitutes a human tragedy… in a land where Range Rovers and Hummers fight tooth and nail for the closest shopping mall parking spot… there exist two fearless rebels, valiantly leading the charge against lip syncing pop princesses, songs without a soul, and poor quality footwear.

Seriously, Socialite Fiasco is a girl (Monica Driscoll) and a guy (Brett Ratner) who just wanna write catchy, melodic pop tunes and play them for you.

It’s not their style to impress by dropping names, citing obscure musical influences or making pointless lists of past accomplishments. So let’s just say that Monica led her past band on a coast-to-coast tour while Brett has paid plenty of dues slugging it out in bars from Nashville to Chicago.

And sure Brett can torch a blues club just as easily as Monica can mesmerize a smoky lounge singing jazz in Portuguese (the language of Brazil, her Mother’s childhood home).

But ultimately, it’s Monica’s gift of seeing her world through song and Brett’s ability to set Monica’s world to music that makes a Socialite Fiasco tune feel like home the first time you set your ears to it.
