Sine of the Times was created in 2009 by me, Rob Watson, to explore the melding of;
- different popular and classical styles
- analogue and electronic sources
- traditional and experimental sounds and approaches
- multiple cultural influences.

As such the music does not fall neatly into a single genre.

I'm a classically trained musician with a long running interest in electronic music. Equally at home in traditional, physical and virtual performing and composing environments. An academic musician by training, I've a well established pedigree of vocal, composition and performing experience spanning Rock, Choral and Opera. At various times, over many years, I've;
- played drums in a rock band
- perfomed over 13 Tenor lead roles in numerous Operatic productions
- used Transputer networks to perform advanced non-realtime synthesis
- conducted shows and choirs
- written a piece for marimba and 3 time delays, (performed at Durham University)
- sung as a solist in several countries (Denmark, Norway, Germany, UK)
- had one of my choral compositions performed at Westminster Abbey
