Marquise "Shaloc" Evans hails from Pittsburgh PA. He has been producing music and writing lyrics about 15 yrs. and started dabbling in music as a "positive outlet" while in highschool when he was introduced to Bob Marley's music as well as growing up in the Golden Era of Hip-Hop. Shaloc began writing lyrics about his life experiences in urban America and expressed his musical talents throughout the city by performing with the Noble Sons, Obvious Crew and Lions of the Junglethroughout the 90's. He furthered honed his musical skills by performing in popular Pittsburgh venues, such as Frankie's the Rose Bud, Mellon Park, Mckinley Park, Shadow Lounge, Unda Ground Lounge, and Dowe,s on 9th. Upon graduating from highschool, Shaloc attended the Arts Institute of PGH. where he gained experience about recordingequipment,digital synths, drum machines, and samplers etc. in their Audio Music Program.
