Samuel Dumesle was born in Haiti and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. From a young age he had a passion and skill for music. Before coming to Raleigh, North Carolina to attend Saint Augustine’s College in 2002, Sam was a member of many groups and choirs in Northern New Jersey. Such groups include G.fy.G (Glorify God) and Perfect Praise, both of which participated and placed in the McDonald’s Gospel Fest and PathMark Gospel Fest. Sam also won a Gold, Silver, and Bronze ACT-SO Award from the NAACP. Prior to starting Dedication, Sam acted as director and musician for various choirs and praise teams in the triangle area of North Carolina. Currently, Sam is the minister of music at Church On The Rock in Raleigh NC. He is also a musician and director for First Baptist Church, Gethsemane Seventh-day Adventist Church and Immanuel Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church.
