SCOTT TURCHIN began this life in a small Southern town, wandered throughout the rural South and hopped aboard a banana boat for Jamaica, where life was one great song after another. All day, all night, Marianne. Or so it would seem.
Born to hardworking, intense New York City parents who brought him to California in the crazy 60s, Scott was exposed to folk, rock and international music and finally started to play and write. Later, he was called by the Reggae music to write from and understand the Rasta perspective.
SCOTT's music has won recognition from local and national songwriter organizations, as well as on showcase site GarageBand.com, and earned "Editor's Choice" in both Roots Rock and Reggae from distributor CDBABY for his first album, SCOTT TURCHIN, released in 2002. Scott and his SCOTT TURCHIN BAND have played most venues in the Los Angeles area.
