Risa has both a British and New York band and has appeared in both the UK and USA. Risa's background includes appearing in musicals with Sinitta and the Broadway cast of Grease as 'Frenchy'. Risa went to Forest Hills High School with the Ramones and was friends with all of them. Her brother was in the Rattlers with Mickey Leigh, Joey's brother and still is. Risa has supported James Apollo, Levi Weaver, Alice McLaughlin, Jess Klein and Ned Evett and has been called 'lyrically courageous, musically eclectic, moving compositions performed with genuine inspiration' by the BBC. She is a regular on local BBC Radio with Andy Crane and has made other appearances including Stephen Nolan on 5 live.
