Rick Baugnon was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in both Louisiana and Texas. Rick was influenced by a number of songwriters including John Lennon, Gin Blossoms, Sarah McLachlan and Sting, to name a few.

Rick's three part harmony song 'Far Memory' won the Louisiana Acadian Music competition in the Pop category. The song was described as having a :beautiful melody with haunting lyrics."

Rick's style of acoustic rock with emphasis on vocals and harmonies also can be heard on the song, "Gift of Life" which was written for a friend who was undergoing dyalisis for her failed kidneys. This song was chosen by THE Gift Of Life Foundation as the song to send hope to all those awaiting a kidney donor.
