Bio

Revery is the result of the combination of some of the most impressive talent that has been developing over the past ten years in the Southern Virginia music scene. Forming in August of 2003 the band members came together from several of the region's most popular bands, and are finally among like-minded peers with a common objective and vision for success.

It was through a development deal with radio promoter Bill McGathy that led Mike Doyle and John Adkins' former band "Sea of Souls" to a shopping deal with Chad Kroeger's 604 record label in the fall of 2002. Strong songwriting, captivating stage presence, and a song (written by Adkins) in regular rotation on WNOR FM99 (Norfolk, VA) led the band to the US majors. The age difference (10 years between Doyle, Adkins and the other members of "Sea of Souls") ultimately put the brakes on the deal.

The collective experience of Revery's members is evident within the bands sound, as well as in the quality of the bands material. Influenced by many of rocks most celebrated artists, Revery's approach to songwriting has both traditional roots and contemporary styling. The crossover potential of the band is undeniable as evidenced through the diversity of their material.

In addition to playing regular club dates, Revery has opened for such national acts as Fuel, Soil, and Breaking Benjamin. With the support of Rick Mersel (President of Rising Tide Productions in Norfolk, Virginia) Revery has been slated for additional support f
