Joel Styzens: Relax Your Ears

Joel Styzens is a Chicago musician, composer, and instructor at the renowned Old Town School Of Folk Music. His latest acclaimed release, "Relax Your Ears," features his guitar compositions and a collaborative partnership with Chicago Symphony Orchestra cellist Katinka Kleijn, who is prominently featured on the album and whose soaring melodies add a level of depth and emotional intensity.

"Relax Your Ears" is an instrumental record with elements of Classical, Jazz, World, and Folk music and features varied and unusual guitar tunings. It's "music that you feel down in your soul" according to Carol Banks Weber from the Music Examiner. Styzens' album has been awarded Editor's Pick & 5/5 Stars from CD Baby as well as 5/5 Stars from the Music Examiner, and has also been featured on UK's Fluid Radio and Chicago's WFMT, and won 2nd place worldwide in the Indie International Songwriter's Contest.
