Rebeka Reed, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada began performing for family and friends at the age of two. When Rebeka was four, she began working in the entertainment industry after she was selected out of thousands of children to play a destitute child in the Disney movie “The Journey of Natty Gann”. After the filming of the movie, Rebeka moved to Moncton, NB where she worked as a model and did TV commercials.
A year later, Rebeka moved to Halifax and continued to work doing TV commercials, still ads, performing in talent shows and musical theatre. Throughout this time, Rebeka took voice classes and attended acting workshops. By the age of 14, Rebeka had played the lead role in the Nova Scotia Drama League’s production of “Annie”, which ran at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax and played the principal actor “Patsy” in the movie “Cadillac Girls”. A highlight of Rebeka’s career occurred at age 15, when she, having been selected from over 1000 young actors, became the youngest host of the weekly national show on CBC TV - “Street Cents.”
After her first season on “Street Cents” Rebeka moved to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Rebeka attend Hollywood High School in a dramatic arts program and hit the audition circuit. Rebeka also worked part-time doing voice over work as well as special projects like a celebrity interview for MTV, interviewing Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio.
