I was born in Lima, near Dayton Ohio, in Allen County. I was not exposed to a lot of opportunities for decent education or employment. Coming from a single-family home, my mother told me that I was always different from relatives in our family. Now I understand that we were all special in our own way, but I was jsut outgoing and adventurous. I remember sitting at the kitchen table at the age fourteen looking through magazines and writing individuals that had achieved their goals in the music & business world, while my cousins played outdoors. I knew then that my goals to become successful, would be accomplished through hard work and dedication.
