Neil set up Pump Music in 2005 to produce high quality finished music for use in film,TV, radio and new media. He is a composer and songwriter first, but also records and produces, thus keeping the whole process in-house. His compositions, songs, and sync music cover a wide range of genres from classical to rock to folk to electronic and dance and to world music.

He enters songs and compositions in national and international competitions. He reached the semi finals in the Uk Songwriting Contest in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 and was a Suggested Artist in Song of the Year 2009, and Runner Up in 2010.

Recent successful submissions have gone forward for film trailer production and MTV program making. Some of his work has been used at the Glastonbury festival in the UK.
