Polly Darkly are a Detroit four-piece whose original, inky, indie-rock, compositions clatter and echo, nodding bluesily in the direction of Spoon, John Spencer, Morphine, and PJ Harvey.

Their live performance is impressive, characterized by dramatic changes in volume, intensity, and a disparity of personalities. Shannon’s kitty cat crooning and unapologetic bad girl attitude provide arresting contrast to the provocative come-hither of Micha’s vocals and guitar. Gary administers an abiding, grim-visaged beat while Josh brings charisma and intensity to the stage.
