Several venues have already experienced eclectic funk/jazz sounds from the four person group; Da Phatfunk Clique. Formed as a band by January of 2000, utilizing local talent in support of the first album release, this project led to development of their unique sound and the vibe for the release of two subsequent CD's (Audiophile Advisory and Da G Groove Project). The founding member, violinist Darrell Looney has franchised the band into a mobile concept utilizing the talents of various members in search of ever growing creativity. The resulting groove, both jazzy and funky, has been described as an amalgamation of jazz from Mahavishnu Orchestra and funk ambiance of George Clinton's P-Funk.
