I have a degree in Music Composition with honors. I especially like music that challenges the listener in some way. Throughout my school career i usually got the big vocal solo in whatever choir I happened to be in. I enjoy playing the drums and the guitar besides my usual keyboards. My songs often sound like ELP, or Rush, or even Aaron Copland. I like to stay modern in my approach to the orchestra or rock group. My main influences are the Beatles, Genesis, Gentle Giant, and the Who. Oh yeah -- also heavily into Yes, Frank Zappa, and Jethro Tull. I've had lots of experience gigging with different bands that I have put together in many different genre including New Wave, Jazz, and mainly progressive rock. I also paid my dues and checked out my gigging chops by playing top 40 for 5 years in a number of different bands.
