Per Diem Bio

Per Diem is up-tempo, listenable hard rock/metal. The vocals are aggressively driving to illustrate the passion of the stories that make up the songs.

With Per Diem, it’s not personal, just business. Cliché? YES, but this Detroit band is getting ready to compete. For Paul and Jeff, they are at a point in their lives where it’s time to get things done. And for Jeff, it’s time to speak his mind.

Lead singer Jeff Karczewski states, “To me, it’s honestly just like sports…we’re the team gunning for those at the top. For example, why doesn’t anybody aggressively go at Marshall Mathers? Why is R. Kelly on the charts? How is it right that Brittney Spears’ new husband gets to have a new music career handed to him? Why do all Green Day songs sound the same? Why do people worship Queens of the Stone Age? Can we all now officially say that Brian Walker is irrelevant? Can Motley Crue’s new stuff sound any more lame? The Backstreet Boys are not going to make a comeback if I can help it.,,”

Per Diem is going to challenge everything because it needs to happen. Karczewski states, “Too many bands/artists are making a mockery of the system…where is the integrity in the music industry if crap bands and artists get fame and fortune? I respect the individuals who have worked very hard to attain a level of success in the rap/hip hop and rock communities, but that doesn’t mean I can’t challenge them if I don’t agree with their message, or I think they are weak. I think it’s time to expect far more out of artists. We are facing unprecedented issues around us and it’s time for more bands and artists to step up, so they’re not wasting their time in the spotlight…and off the stage, I’m saying that Per Diem will make it’s contribution to help get things aligned to where we feel they should be. I am not afraid of conflict, in fact, I like it. I don’t care if other artists or industry people scoff at me and the band…I know I’m doing the right thing because I am going to use facts.” Karczewski continues, “I wrote “Revolution” to get into the emotions of Americans about our changing economy with jobs and wealth going to China/India. I’m planning to write about the moronic hate groups and terrorists around us, greed, love, the sadness in Ethiopia, how people are unknowingly eating and drinking toxic food and water, how dangerous prescription drugs are being pushed on us and how we should be controlling politicians and corporate America - not the other way around. I am always going to look at the facts around me and then take some action.”

Musically, Per Diem is led by Paul Adams. Paul directs all aspects surrounding the writing, recording, production and performance. He is very confident in his talent. Critics will say that the greatest rock bands of all time (Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Nirvana) had all members contributing together, thus making it “special.” However, aren’t results all that matter? At this time, musically, Per Diem is using this very focused approach under the guidance of Paul Adams to work with dozens of songs. In the future, Paul is not opposed to collaborating with musicians for songwriting.

Per Diem is actively recruiting the right members for the band. Industry professionals will not have to worry about budgeting for musicians.

All in all, Per Diem’s vision is to have their sound translate into an intense live experience for the fans. Per Diem has a very focused and professional attitude to the job at hand. The music industry professionals that choose to work with Per Diem will not be let down.
