One Quarter Turn consists of one man with a desire to be a
songwriter. After leaving behind work in 2000 at Jetset
Records and SpinART records in NYC, he struck out on a
journey across the country, stopping in Grinnell, Chicago, Seattle, Idyllwild and
now San Diego.

His first foray into recorded music came with The Ubac
Demos in 1999. Recorded entirely on his own in a small
makeshift recording room in Grinnell, IA he recorded 24
songs and scored a bit of a cult hit with "Greenback Kids"
which climbed up to #3 on the mp3 indie charts. As one
review later said, "More mewlin than a pussycat, but these
guys ain't no pussies." Another commented, "It takes you
back to a time when you remember music is about being
honest."

Quickly following his first release, he released 4:4:1 in April
2001 under the band name Empty Years. Recorded and
written with Chicago rocker Michael Sanders (My Super
