Scotsman, Jim Murphy's reputation as a talented writer, musician and performer has grown while working alongside and touring with artists such as George Michael, Neneh Cherry, Gavin Friday and Simon Phillips.

After moving to the U.S., Jim commenced work on Supabastid studios, composing music and writing songs for MTV, NICKELODEON and VH1 as well as various National TV commercial music spots.

Since setting up his Supabastid studio, Jim has written sitcom scores for CBS, WB / ABC, FOX and COMEDY CENTRAL

In addition, Jim has composed pieces and written songs for the M.G.M. movie "A Guy Thing" and PARAMOUNT'S "Uptown Girl".

Jim continues to compose and sound design special projects for MACY'S, has been a primary sound designer/composer with the David Niles group for the much-heralded COMCAST/UNIVERSAL wall in Philadelphia and is currently composing for the USB hi-def installation in L.A.
