drawing from folk, americana, and alt-country traditions, muk is often mentioned in the same breath as gillian welch, ryan adams, son volt, and lucinda williams to name a few.
muk now resides in brooklyn, ny, and has played such notable venues as cbgb's gallery, pete's candy store, freddy's backroom, and the pontiac grille in philadelphia. since beginning his live performances, muk has amassed a dedicated following. in december 2002, muk released a self-produced EP. the first track, better in the morning, is currently the #1 most-played song on the alt.country station on radio@netscape. he can also be heard on such roots-oriented stations as kexp, wdvx, whee, and wmmt among others.
