Michael Emenau has worked as a professional classical and jazz musician throughout Canada, Asia, and the U.S. for over a decade. While living in Montreal, he worked regularly in symphony orchestras, won concerto competitions and performed at both Carnegie Hall and The Knitting Factory. Michael relocated to Japan, and for a period of five years, he developed his skills as a studio musician (recording on over 50 CD?s including ?Red, Hot, and Cool?), playing and recording extensively acid-jazz, club and electronic music. Extended time studying and playing in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Korea has greatly influenced his musical vision.

He has had the opportunity to play with such jazz luminaries as Dave Liebman and Barry Finnerty, as well as respected electronica artists UFO, Mondo Grosso, and Digital-Cutup-Lounge.

Currently he performs regularly with Realistic, Lumin (a projects he co-leads that fuses the music of the Middle-East with electronica), and his solo projects
