I attended the Berklee College Of Music in Boston, and primarily play jazz, blues and rock on piano and Hammond B3 organ. Over the years, I have been fortunate to perform with some of my heroes including Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Paul McCandless, Frank Morgan, Jaco Pastorius, Charles Neville, Mary Stallings, Gary Burton, Karl Denson, Luther Tucker, The Greyboy Allstars, Branford Marsalis, Little Jimmy Scott, Les Claypool, Tootie Heath, Zero, John Heard, Steve Kujala, John Lee Hooker, Harvey Mandel, Al Foster, Von and Chico Freeman, Steve Rodby, Papa John Creach, and many others. My current band, Mitch Stein & His All-Star Band, features a revolving roster of All-Stars including guitarists Bill Spooner (The Tubes), Bob Coons (Melvin Seals) and Tom Edwards (Merl Saunders); drummers Greg Errico (Sly & The Family Stone) and Billy Johnson (Santana); saxmen Bobby Strickland (Todd Rundgren, Phil Lesh & Friends) and Martin Fierro (Zero, Legion Of Mary), and several other local luminari
