I was frustrated stuck behind my keyboards. I wanted to run around like the guitarists and I was not strapping on one of those keyboard/guitar things. Performing in STOMP motivated me to create something new and different. I call it "GuitarDrumming". It combines the techniques of playing the bass(slapping and plucking), the piano(poking), percussion(hand drumming and knocking), and the acoustic guitar(flicking, thumbing, finger picking). The resulting sound is unique, to say the least. It fluctuates between hard gritt and slinky sweet. I mix a pickup with a soundhole mic and send them to a full range keyboard amp. My songs pull from many styles of music including rock, pop, funk, alternative, and folk. I sing about hope, frustration, relationships, and sometimes politics. I just always try to be honest and creative and emote.
