Bio

Michael's father, Adrian Roland, was a country artist. He performed at such places as the Louisiana Hayride and was going to perform at the Grand Old Oprey, but his life was cut short. His songs got a lot of airtime and were also performed by other artists including George Jones. Michael spent a lot of time as a kid in recording studios and around musicians. Michael's dad used to have him sing for people all the time. He sang on his dad's live radio program and even performed on stage at a special event in front of a burger joint. "My dad died when I was twelve. It took many many years for me to come back to music. The music within me kind of died with him. This is not to say I lost my love of music. I was always very deeply into music. I just couldn't get myself to make music. As a teenager I taught myself to play my dad's Gibson guitars and started writing. I never got serious. I felt without my dad it just wasn't serious, and I couldn't live up to his genious. " Twenty-five plus years later Michael became a sound man for a blues band. This got his creative juices flowing again and he started to write again. "The next big thing to happen was my wonderful wife Tanya bought me a new Takamini twelve string and a Marshall acoustic amp. This opened the flood gates and soon I was buying guitars, amps, recording gear, etc. I built my own computer for recording, set up a studio at home and started writing and recording."
