Tha Kid MD was born in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to DC at the age of six. After winning a sixth grade poetry contest Tha Kid began to rhyme and was ask to recite his poetry for the first time at his elementary school graduation. While freestyling in cyphers while growing up in the MD area of Capitol Heights and District Heights, Moan won his first contest on air when there was 1580 AM the old DC hip hop station. After graduating from Suitland Highschool he used his graduation money to buy a keyboard, he than went off to college and continuously found himself going to the studio while finishing school. One of his routines during school was go to work, go to school, than go to the studio at night and do the same thing all over again the next day. Now that Tha Kid who's known by his nickname MOAN has mastered his craft he's ready to drop a cd called the THE KING IS HERE! and a mixtape called WHAT THA STREETS WANT! which will reflect on his life living in the District of Columbia and the District Heights area.
