Bio

"I want to make a difference in the lives of all people through singing songs about life's everyday experiences,it's much more than putting good lyrics over hot tracks;it's about sharing life experiences through music that really matters. The foundation of all I do is Jesus Christ I want people to feel my music, not just hear it." Lwan

Being a young, gifted, and somewhat radical musician is hard enough. When you add Christian to that profile the vigilant eyes of your elders and the world around you focus in, scrutinizing your every move. Lwan Easton, singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and overall "banging" entertainer, is he up for the challenge? Lwan Montryce Easton was born April 17, 1982 in South Bend, IN to Charles and Marilyn Easton. He is the 2nd to youngest of twenty-two brothers and sisters. Lwan began singing at an early age. Lwan graduated from Riley High School in 2000. Shortly after, he attended Ivy Tech State College for one semester. Lwan's desire to focus on music and his creativity as an entertainer was burning in him so strong, he decided to leave school and pursue a career in music. Lwan's smooth, controlled sound had already caught the attention of listeners in school performances, churches, and local events in the South Bend community and surrounding cities. Listeners' reactions to Lwan's powerful voice were so great, he debuted as a solo artist in August of 1999. Shortly after, he recorded and released his first CD entitled, "The Christmas Album Vol. 1." Lwan received heavy rotation on local radio stations and established a support base of fans that is yet growing. He has been featured as a lead vocalist on his church's, Faith Apostolic Ministries in South Bend, IN, musical projects put out by Youth Pastor Jonathan Miller and FVC. Lwan has been traveling and performing as a solo artist and with his church's youth group at various church's from St. Louis, MO and Dayton, OH to Grand Rapids, MI and Atlanta, GA. More recently, Lwan held a concert in South Bend, IN at the Century Center on September 24, 2005, drawing a crowd of over 600 people. Not only did he bless the audience with his suave sound and innovative performance, he gave other local artists a chance to display their gifts. On January 2, 2006 Lwan performed for Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C. Church's New Year's Celebration in front of a crowd of 350. This performance received positive reviews in the South Bend Tribune. Much of Lwan's sound is a flavorful mix of r&b, hip-hop, and rock. He has an eclectic ear for music and draws inspiration from artists like Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Tonex, and Brandy. He even admits to enjoying and pulling from P Diddy's energy on stage. When asked what some of his goals were as a Christian entertainer and what advice he would give to aspiring musicians, Lwan said, "I want to show people they can have a good time being a Christian. Possibly change the Christian image, show the world something fresh and new, but always stay true to God and not be hypocritical. Stay prayed up and don't get caught up in people. But the best advice I can give anyone is to keep God first, believe in yourself and your music, and you will not fail. " This ground-breaking, original, gifted artist has shown and will continue to show the watchful eye of the church world and everyone else that he is up for the challenge of representing young Christians. So watch out, he's ready, radical, and coming to a city near you.
