Bio

Tara {guitar, piano, vocals}, Dana {piano, guitar, vocals}, and Jocelyn {guitars, djembe, irish whistle, hammered dulcimer, and vocals} make up the all-female band LATE TUESDAY, which sits at the forefront of the Bellingham and greater Western Washington music scene. The members {ages 21-24} write original music both individually and collectively. By taking turns on lead vocals and using multiple instruments, they are becoming widely known for their diverse sound. The band has played many varying venues from packed coffee houses in Bellingham, to a music festival at the fairgrounds, to benefit concerts for various causes. They are currently booking numerous concerts and festivals throughout Washington State and even as far as Scotland. Band members claim a variety of influences which include: Lisa Loeb, Faith Hill, Jars of Clay, Jennifer Knapp, Rich Mullins, Chantal Kreviazuk, Fiona Apple, and Sixpence None the Richer. In November of 2000, LATE TUESDAY began recording their self-titled debut album which will be independently released in April of 2001. The creative songwriting is evidenced in the first track, "Ordinary", where the band's name is also referenced: "Just another day / breathing out and breathing in / put on the same old jacket / step out the door.
