Bio for Keith Terrett

Keith Terrett is a London-born conductor, band trainer, composer,arranger, trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist. He is currently a
Brass Instructor for the Rhondda Cynon Taff Music Service near Cardiff in
Wales. During his distinquished career he has performed and taught music in West Germany, the British West Indies, North Wales, Papua New Guinea, Kuwait and Norway.



A prolific composer, Mr. Terrett has listed a few of his hundreds of scores for your kind consideration. If you are looking for an arrangement for your ensemble, or a selection for an upcoming performance solo, please browse the scores in the folders below. Mr. Terrett is also available to arrange your original compositions, or provide new compositions for your wedding or solo performance.

Mr. Terrett has had the privelage of performing with many remarkable and talented musicians including Jesse Norman, Iona Brown, Engelbert Humperdink, London & BBC Concert & Symphony Orchestras and the Kneller Hall Band. He has even appeared as a trumpeter on 'This is your life' with Eamon Andrews for the 85th birthday of Sir George Solti. A highlight was his appearances for three consecutive years in the annual Christmas Bach Choir Concerts in the Albert Hall, with Sir David Willcocks, the London Brass, and the Kneller Hall Fanfare Trumpet Team.

Overseas tours have taken him to Australia, Japan, and the USA and Canada. Throughout his career he has continued his education in master classes, harmony and counterpoint, orchestration and conducting with Bobby Shew, Scott Wendolt, Gordon Reynolds, Trevor Sharpe and Frank Renton. Mr. Terrett considers himself especially fortunate to have studied trumpet with the late Ian Mackintosh.
