Adult Contemporary Artist:

Current band UCA (United Cities of America) is a funky brew of Latin-meets-Club-meets classic Pop/Rock/Funk. Think of a modern Fleetwood Mac with a DJ.

Tracks like "I Can Make Believe", "All Because of You" and "Let Your Love" from UCA's RISE album feature great female vocals ( in the Annie Lennox,Gloria Estefan mold) as well as Keith's signature tenor vocals. "Let Your Love" explores the smooth Steely Dan territory with some Santana licks on top of the mix.

"Somewhere in Your Heart", "Who Would Have Thought" and "Red Lipstick" from Keith's SOMEWHERE IN YOUR HEART album puts Keith Anderson squarely in the Sting/Van Morrison/Paul Simon/Seal ballpark.

Keith Anderson Bio

ADULT CONTEMPORARY ARTIST

Keith Anderson is vibrant and on the edge. His current band, UCA (United Cities of America), is a funky brew of Latin-meets-Club-meets classic Pop/Rock/Funk and features sultry vocalist Susan Burke and multi-instrumentalist Keith Nordquist (Sax/Flute/Bass Guitar/Keyboards). Think of a modern Fleetwood Mac with a DJ.

Tracks like "I Can Make Believe", "All Because of You" and "Let Your Love" feature outstanding female vocals (in the Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan mold), as well as Keith's signature tenor vocals that put him squarely in the Sting/Van Morrison/Steely Dan ballpark.

About "I Can Make Believe" Taxi A&R says: "I'm really impressed with the music and production; polished; the musicians were really tight. Good job on the melodies; nice changes, chorus pays off...Nicely done."

Born of Jamaican, Scottish & Spanish ancestry in New Jersey, Keith's musical training started in third grade as a clarinetist. Later, he picked up the guitar and keyboards and started writing his own songs. His first commercial release was a 45, "Sweet Tooth/Christine" that garnered radio play and live showcases around the NY/NJ/Penn area.

Moving to Seattle , Keith formed several bands, recorded and released "One Day at a Time" & "Amnesty" on cassette tape, and released his first CD, "Fire With Fire" with keyboardist/composer Curtis Seals on No Excuse Records in 1995 as Keith Anderson & NYQ. "Fire With Fire" was played on numerous radio stations in the NW and the duo played many live shows (including the Bite of Seattle). They also wowed the local audience on Cable TV as the house band for "Professor Fred's B Movie Bash".

Keith has continued to develop his writing and recording talents since then, working with some of the music industry's top producers both here (NW Emmy award winning composer, Jeff Tassin) and in England (Stuart Wakeman, who has worked with Phil Collins and Jamiroquai), releasing 3 more CDs, "Somewhere in Your Heart", "I Can Make Believe Remix album" and "Rise".

His band, UCA, has been gigging in the Seattle area and has recently recorded a live album that will be released in June 2007 on No Excuse Records.
