Justin Jay Arnold started playing guitar nearly seven years ago after having grown up around a family of musicians. Inspired by his father and his uncles, he started writing his own material three years ago following the end of his 11-year relationship with his high school sweetheart. Whereas his family was influenced by the likes of Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Justin has added his own personal flair to that list, taking a little from his favorite singer-songwriters. These include: Ben Harper, Joe Purdy, Alexi Murdoch, Damien Rice, Jennings and Tupac Shakur. The elements he writes about -- love, loss, joy, pain and faith -- are universal. When you hear his voice, no matter what song it is, you can hear a wide spectrum of emotion in his soulful, sand-papered vocals.
