Where it all started!

"I grew up in Nebraska city but was born in Lincoln, NE on May 22, 1954. Started playing guitar and writing songs at age 9. Moved to Lincoln when I was 13 and started playing with local bands. I played in and around the Lincoln area for the next 23 years. I played Bass guitar in the earlier bands and switched to Lead guitar shortly after. To date I have played Lead Guitar, Fiddle, Steel Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, and Piano, but I don't consider myself anything but a guitar player, singer and a writer. In 1986 I moved to Nashille, TN. and polished my song writing skills and learned the ins and outs of the recording studio. While in Nashville I recorded over 500 demos in several studios including Sound Tech Studios. Produced & Recorded two albums for a couple Oklahoma artists in the Mel Tillis studio off 19th Ave. in Music Row, and met and worked with several musicians, producers and recording engineers. The Mackay CD ia a project started in 2002!
