My name is Joey P. and I am originally from Fairport Harbor, a very small town in northeast Ohio, currently living in Benson, North Carolina. I’ve always had a hard time answering the question, “What kind of music do you play?” The best description I’ve heard is modern-folk/rock/singer-songwriter. Being put into a category or genre is not important to me. I simply want to share my music with as many people as I can.

“Anyone can listen to these songs and think he is singing about their life.”

I am constantly writing and recording. Time is the only factor that limits the amount of songs that I’ve written and recorded. My goal is to spend as much time as I can, getting songs out of my head, and onto a recording. I could write and record songs endlessly if given the time.

In October 2005, we organized a charity event called, “Acoustic Concert in the Park for the Victory Junction Gang.” My CD, “Mirror” was featured at the event. It has eighteen original songs. We are currently planning another event for April 2006.

During college, I was in a band called “Falling Down.” We focused on live shows and had a large local following in northeast Ohio. I have also filled in as a drummer in a few bands, including “Without” and “Bitter Pill.” On my recordings, I play the six-string acoustic guitar, twelve-string acoustic, percussion, harmonica, and vocals. The lead guitar is often played by Mike Tittle, a lifelong musician who has been in many successful bands, including “Camangies” and “Raven Mad.” Keyboardist Nich Hiltunen assists me with recording and performances. I hope to get the opportunity to have as much time as possible writing, recording, and performing my songs.
