Bio

I listened almost exclusively to the Beatles for the first 11 years of my life. The rest of my influences are no great mystery. For me, it's all about harmony and the sound of the human voice.

After college I began scoring music for TV commercials. (Some highlights - a Superbowl spot for Audi and a Nike campaign). Although it may not sound like it, that work was very satisfying. I had creative freedom and a budget to work with – full orchestras at my disposal. Still, I had more to say musically, and I’ve begun to say it with this record.

I've tried to write music that was inevitable, that could not be denied. (For more on this theme, listen to 'Denied' on the CD). I want people to feel like these songs have always existed. Many of them came to me in dreams, fully realized. So for me, there is the sense that they’ve always been here…
