Excellent song and performance.I remember you from UEA.Was just thinking about seeing Chris Smither and Diz Disley with you at Norwich Folk Festival back around 1980, as I'm hoping to see Chris Smither with my daughter this summer, wondered if you'd taken your early talent any further so had a go on google and found you have! All the best to you. You probably won't remember me but I was and still am a big fan of lots of good music. My son is a musician with a recently released first cd.Best wishes.
Hi Dave - yes, of course I remember you, from 1980 and 1970. I'd forgotten I'd posted some music up here. I retired (early) from social work a couple of years ago and have been doing a bit more songwriting and playing since. I have a few tracks up on Soundcloud, but it's been a bit random, as I have not had a systematic recording project. I'm hoping to rectify that a bit over the next couple of months.. I've lived in the North of Scotland (Moray) for nearly 24 years. Are you still in Geordie-land? It would be lovely to meet up sometime.
Hi Jerry, Great to see you're writing and performing to such a high standard: very impressive. Thanks for the reply. In answer to your q, I retired from EFL teaching all over the middle east in 2011 when the venue of my last job (Libya) became too dangerous to return to. I'd had ten years in a cracking job with a German oil company. Just sold my house in Plymouth, downsized to south Wales and am writing to you from my place in France which I bought back in the late 80's (cheap, old but nice). Great to hear from you and good luck with all future projects. My email address is davehaynes99@hotmail.com if you want to keep in contact. It's probably easier than having to go through this website
