Denver native Janeen Leah is a gifted singer/songwriter. During high school she trained with Susan Draus (producer, composer/arranger - Vices, New York City), who helped Janeen develop her talents and encouraged her to pursue music. At the age of 18 she headed to Hollywood where she enrolled at Musicians Institute. There she recorded her debut EP Melting in Hazel with engineer, Jeremy Oswin, (whose credits include work on the soundtracks for Titanic and The Grinch) and accomplished producer Tommy Reeves. Janeen is an experienced professional singer, both in live and studio settings. Her credits include: live back-up vocals for PJ (Tidal - Wave Records) and Kriya; and studio background vocals for hip hop group, Numbs (Guapo Records). Janeen is currently playing throughout the LA area. Her debut EP has sold out and her new album is currently very enthusiastically received, some songs are featured here. This aside, she has over 20 songs that are ready to record for future albums.

Biography 2007

With her 2005 release “Time Is Never Wasted,” her first full length, self-produced album Janeen is garnering rave reviews. It is a comprehensive work that deftly fuses rock with jazz, reflecting her wide range of musical tastes.
Janeen successfully blends sophisticated musical compositions with poignant lyrics. Janeen engages her audience with her blissful, calm performance, whether playing with a full band or in an intimate acoustic setting.
