Starting in 1995, James established his career in the music business going on tour with EMI recording artist CeCe Winans. CeCe was featured that same year with Whitney Houston on the movie soundtrack for "Waiting to Exhale". This promoted James as a sought after musician and he gained several product endorsements during this time.
