Geoffrey was writing originals on piano by the time he was 10. He was a fully proficient drummer playing in bands by his teens. He was a highly sought after session keyboardist in the Bay Area studios through the 80s and 90s. The combination of his melodic jazz orientated piano writing and groove emphasis from drumming help give Geoffrey a unique and diverse sound. Not unlike some of Donald Fagan and Walter Becker's famous Steely Dan stuff but with an electronic groove feel.
