Gbanjah isn't an easily characterized artist, and he likes it that way. Romantic and sensual, ' or bluesy and brooding, his music is realism from the soul. "I just try to be as simple and real as can be and that's that. You'll like it or you won't, there is no common ground," says the artist whose travels have taken him from his Liberia, Africa birthplace to Europe, many U.S. cities including New York and now Atlanta.

Gbanjah's sentimental visions envelope the sensuality of life, his songs are pure seduction.
His song writing and production talent has not only found its way into his own music but that of other musicians whose work runs the gamut from up-tempo rock melodies to strong romantic ballads. Gbanjah's musical sound evokes the landscapes of his travels and the variety in his musical influences. As a teenager his favorite bands included such different styles as Culture Club, Sade, Tracy Chapman, Matchbox 20, and Lenny Kravitz.
