Hailing from Southern Illinois and growing up in East Texas, his talent has been seasoned by substantial studio and club experiences. He currently resides and performs in the Chicagoland area.

Gary Lee won the Illinois State Title for country music in the True Value/GMC Country Showdown. He also had extensive radio airplay in Europe with the release of the records "Country Morning" and "Precious Love." He has received Honorable Mentions from Billboard Magazine for both of these songs.
