Garrett began playing music in grade school, fumbled around with a few instruments until he found his first love...the cello. His expanding appreciation of music led him to pick up bass at 16, and after the usual High School bands (3-D House of Beef, Cold Pete) played the clubs in NYC until he was 26. It was then that he picked up guitar, began writing and playing original music, and began to refine his songwriting. Band breakups, career and family distracted him for a while, but his love for writing returned in 2003 and led to the purchase of a Tascam 2488. Being a recording novice didnt deter him from beginning his home studio career, and a few borrowed Strats, keys, mics, and amps later led to the release of an EP, "Earthbound Demos Volume One". With Volume Two sure to follow, Garrett continues to develop his low-budget recording skills, as well as (hopefully) improving his ability to write about himself in the third person.
