Bio

G9 is comprised of musicians from varying influences from and bands. Scott Thomas and Chris Morrison from "Moonshine", a heavy, aggressive, groove oriented rock band. Larry Waters from the band "Squash the Fly", a hard rockin' alternative band, and Daniel Gieser from Zantis, a family oriented rock band.
With the ground work laid, they started to work on some music. They wanted to make heavy, groovin' music, but still keep it melodic and listenable. It was an open field to them, taking influence from many different types of rock, metal, jazz, Neil Diamond. The songs were coming out great. This brought about a dilemma for the players: Find a vocalist to match. Larry and Scott had been friends for a long time. Although in different bands that had played on the same bill, they had never played in the same band together. Their bands had dissolved almost simultaneously. Larry came in, played one song, and blew them away. Former bassist Derec left the band early on to pursue other goals. With this came the search for a new bassist. It was short (thankfully). Daniel Geiser came in and filled the shoes. With Daniel came a renewed faith in the music, and a new influence for the guys. With a strong musical base, and all the guys being friends, this made for a lighter but more focused group. The music was set, the mood was set, now they wanted to concentrate on the live aspect of the show. This is where they stand now. With a 4-song demo, a 6-song EP already released and a full length
