FSPP was formed by Axel, Ben and Victor who were/are members in a band called Búdrýgindi (won the icelandic Battle of the bands in 2002, won the Icelandic Music Awards for "Best new artist" in 2002, and realeased 2 full length albums; Kúbakóla (Hitt Records,2002) and Juxtapos (Zonet, 2004)). FSPP started when the guys where writing some punk/pop/rock songs and having fun in Axel´s garage and not taking things seriously. When they had written a few songs they decided to take the band to another level and got Addi and Hnokki (members of a singing-quartett that had just come home from a singing-trip to Japan) who were in the same "musical-state-of-mind" and started practising with them. Then in the autumn Full Speed Power Party played their first gig and then started playing local bars around Reykjavík and toured Westman Islands (Iceland). When the band had written about 10 songs, they booked a studio and spent all their summer-job money in recording a 6 song demo.
