About The Band

Dave and Dave both grew up in Auburn, Washington around music and entertainment. Munoz (Lead vocals and rhythm guitar) started playing music at the age of four with the accordion. At the age of 10 started playing violin, and then picked up a guitar at 13. He played in various bands throughout school, but found his home when he and Cox (Lead Singer) formed Fat Dog Heavy in the Summer of 2006. Dave Cox was the perfect half to Moonie's sound, and together they starting writing songs and performing in coffee shops.

Maximus (Lead guitar) was the third member to join Fat Dog Heavy. Besides being a longtime friend to the Dave's, Max has been performing in venues all over the Seattle area. Max brings a blues/jazz feel to the music and fills a lot of the songs with funky blues solos that everyone can enjoy. Jeff Malek (Bass guitar) started playing music around the age of ten, when he learned the clarinet. He progressed to the alto and tenor saxophones, piano and synthesizer, drums, guitar and his primary instrument, bass guitar. He has studio mixing and recording skills, and also serves as the band's pimp. He can be bribed with large amounts of tequila or doobage. Bones, the sickest drummer in the entire world, just recently joined the group. We found him shooting whiskey while tapping a high hat. His rhythm will blow your mind and plus, you can rub his bald head.
