Bio

In 1997 Tom Erno was doing the club scene in New York with a Band called Laws Of jive when he realized he was playing three to four shows a week and not even enjoying it.

Tom was frustrated by the lack of personal, creative, and musical growth that came to represent this time in his life so he decided to leave the band and begin a new musical chapter that became known simply as, Erno.

He recruted his friend Kevin who was working as a recording engineer at a small studio in New York called SLP Studios and Erno was born.

Tom and Kevin decided not to form a band and get caught up in doing the same ten songs each night for months at a time, they wanted this to be different and it was, right from the begining.

Since there was no band, there were no ego battles and control issues, so tom and Kevin began to jam (kevin on drums) and Tom on Guitar & Singing) and Tom was able to finally write what was in his heart instead of what fit into the "Band's Sound". this was and still is a great freedom for Tom and because of this, Erno is a very diverse, and eclectic outfit.

From the begining Tom and kevin agreed that the music of Erno should have no boundries or specific styles. Music and songwriting should be a "Growing Process" and since the release of Satellite Parade in 1997 Erno has grown in many different directions.

Since Tom and Kevin can't play every single instrument they work with a core of other artists that bring their own voice to Erno songs. Michelle Kinny(
