Elysium began in early 2002 when Jonathan Toler (Drums), Ronnie Allen II (Guitar), Jamie Neumann (Guitar), and Wesley Moore (Vocals) started jamming in Ronnie’s barn. After countless hours of loud screeching guitars and offbeat rhythms, Elysium began serious writing and rehearsing in late 2003. Ronnie Pipken Jr. joined in late 2004 to finally fill the bass slot. The band’s influences range from artists such as Marilyn Manson, The Deftones, Korn, and Metallica to Pink Floyd, Lynard Skynard, Incubus, Cream, and Led Zeppelin. Elysium’s sound ranges from Heavy Rock to more Mainstream and Alternative Rock. The band has recently finished recording a small demo, and is ready to play shows and reach a wide variety of audiences. Their first public appearance was on the local Raleigh TV show "Hardcore Live", which showcases some of the best local talent in North Carolina. Elysium has just begun playing shows in the Triangle/Eastern NC area.
