Elisa Nicolas Bio
Born in Canada, raised in Georgia and Ohio, Elisa Nicolas had the sound of Pop and Classical music in her ears from the time she was an infant. "My parents had everything from Lynn Anderson's 'Rose Garden' to the Beatles 'Sergeant Pepper.' I listened to all their great vocalist records like Ella Fitgerald and Nat King Cole." Elisa's breathy alto brings to mind modern singers like Fiona Apple and Diana Krall.

Elisa Nicolas' voice has often been compared to Nina Simone, and like Simone, she defies categorization. But it is Elisa's considerable songwriting talent that sets her apart as an artist. A superb multi-instrumentalist, Nicolas' beautifully performed songs includes enigmatic tales of loss and love. Nicolas is a gem among current singer-songwriters. Elisa has shared national stages around the country with numerous artists including Over the Rhine, Sam Phillips and Arrested Development. Elisa has appeared at numerous festival showcases including SXSW in Austin and the Mississippi River Music Festival in St Louis.
