Einar Sv. Tryggvason was born in Reykjavík, Iceland in February 1988. He studied the piano at an early age, but soon turned his focus towards composition, primarily for film.
He graduated with honours with a Bachelor's Degree in Film Composition from Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2011 where he studied under the guidance of Hróðmar I. Sigurbjörnsson and Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson.
In 2015, Einar graduated with a Master's degree in Composing for film from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam where he studied with Jurre Haanstra.

Einar has scored numerous award winning short films, both from the Icelandic Film Academy and Columbia University in New York, as well as several critically acclaimed Icelandic TV series. In 2015, Einar scored his first feature film: The American horror film "Child Eater", directed by Erlingur Óttar Thoroddsen
