Doubting Tom was founded in the spring of 2000 by drummer and songwriter Thomas J. Kielbania Jr. The first release was a 5 song demo recorded in the bands basement studio. This artistic
unrefined version of Doubting Tom landed them in a management deal with a company from Florida, which also produced another 5 song demo. Unfortunately in the summer of that year the original line up of the band parted ways.
Tom spent the next 18 months writing 40 songs in his home studio and finding a new sound for Doubting Tom. Once finished he teamed up with front-man legend Matt Fuller to rearrange and complete the songs and give them new life. With Matt's dramatic flair and writing talents the band was about to take its final shape. Guitarist Brian Lecesse and keyboardist John Currier were recruited from the band Schwa, each bringing with them a remarkable musicianship and professional edge. To complete the rhythm section Tom turned to career long bassist Richard Yirga whom he has been playing with for 7 years in a national act. Rounding off this competent lineup was Melissa King, a beautiful young talent that accents the Doubting Tom sound, and looks great in leather pants.
