DK aka DJ Kong, is a hip-hop and soul beatmaker/producer from Canada (his stage surname is simply a play on his initials).

Utilizing hard-hitting drums in conjunction with graceful samples, he creates beats that have the signature East Coast, boom bap sound, yet still remains creative and extremely versatile. Influenced by the likes of DJ Premier, RZA, Marley Marl, Havoc, Minnesota, Diamond D, Buckwild, and Large Professor, DK has meticulously studied the classics and crafted an original production style that is easily distinguishable amongst a climate where everyone is a producer and makes the same watered down beats.
