DIRT, a four-piece band from the rock and roll city of Cleveland, Ohio is composed of Dave”DBC”Burzanko on lead vocals and turntables, Jim Bryant on guitars, Bill Foltzer on bass, and Mark”Policy”B. on drums. The group blends many influences and musical styles such as rap, hard rock, metal, and hiphop. Started in 1996, Burzanko and Mark “Policy” B. left a pop rock band to put efforts into their new project. Recruiting Jim and Bill from a local recording studio, the quartet was complete. Dirt’s heavily rhythmic sound and DBC’s compelling lyrics and rap style make for a look into the future of rock and hiphop. Pressure Cooker, released from the group’s self-made disc, reached #1 on the Internet radio network Everstream in the summer of 2000. “The Need” reached #2 on the Rapcore charts North America on the MP3 site for July of 2002.
