Diamond Lex Bio

Started rapping since the age of 7 and had a tape recorder at 8, a little 2 tape cassette player with a hole for the built in mic. Started recording off of videogames from Nintendo melodies to Sega Genesis melodies. I've probably rapped over one of your favorite videogame's songs. There was just always something I enjoyed about making music. At my young age I was mummblin somewhat but I kinda got it more together in Junior High. But I've always been into music, I've done many talent shows in elementary, junior high, and high school. I've performed in over 10 Talent shows out of school and performed in 2 pep assemblies during my high school years. So I really know how to work the stage. Growing up, my older brother always had tapes lying around, he was into all the 80's rap when it was poppin then, he always had a thing for that hood/gangsta bass rumblin music too, the ones I remember listening to were from the likes of; BoogieDownProductions, Tupac, EPMD, Spice 1,Digital Underground, Slick Rick, Americas Most Wanted, NWA, Geto Boys, Jungle Brothers, and many more. He also got me into some rock/guitar legends like Joe Satriani, Jimmy Hendrix, etc. I ended up liking that music, but I was really into the old school hiphop era, it's sad how the music is turning out now. Not many artists now are really trying to take this music to a new era, cuz stuff sounds the same, lame, and continuously poppy. There's very few who keep it there, because it seems like the industry is trying to get more competitive and people arent putting their heart into music. It sounds like money is over music, but the heart isnt in the music. But dont get me wrong I would love a check too, but it's really time to start constructing new sound and new music that can influence many people around the world, instead of speaking about the same rims, the same ice, the same cars, we should be sending positive messages to people who really need guidance, cuz leading people to buying all the finer things in life really makes life lose it's value when you've done everything possible. I'm about everything I speak my lyrics are basically my visions explained over poetry. My way of rhyming came easily because before I started rapping regularly, I would usually rap fast, kind of like Bone Thugs, but that was when I kinda mumbled alot. But now I've become more cleaner, precise, and professional, usually only taking one takes in the stuio. But vision is that I'm trying to create a new sound that isnt much compared to many but make a complete change in the music industry. Thinking of different approaches to mix different music genres with new sounds all blended into hiphop and sending positive messages through it. I've noticed a change in my skills over the years, I stay recording basically everyday, I have my own in-home studio, I make beats off of FruityLoops6.0 and off of my Playstation, MTV Music Generator 1. I have many songs made, I've made at least over 1000 songs. No Lie. To myself, I've made 28 LP's myself and thats only CD Lp's, I have many more on tapes I have that are LP's from before the CD LP's, it's just I never had a way of making it known, I never had the people around me who was on it like I was. But I have proof of everything I say. I turned 20 July 22nd, and I'm trying to at least get heard before I'm 21. So I'm stayin on my grind. I know I'm gonna be heard eventually but I think it's time for something fresh and new to come out and change up the game and I believe that's Me........DIAMOND LEX!!
